In the Arizona State Department of Corrections, I was the primary care provider for approximately 800 inmates. As a hospitalist nurse practitioner, I was responsible for 15-25 patients per day, as well as admissions, discharges and patient transfers. These experiences have greatly expanded my skills in providing primary and acute care to patients of all ages. In addition to my experiences as a nurse practitioner, I started my nursing career on a busy medical surgical unit that cared for a diverse patient population. I have 4 years of experience working in the emergency department, where I developed a hands-on knowledge of important emergency procedures along with developing the skills to correctly interpret diagnostic results and lab tests. I have an excellent bedside manner and am able to quickly and correctly assess patient needs. I am a quick learner, adaptable, energetic, and would be a valuable asset to your practice. I have years of experience collaborating with physicians and ancillary services to ensure appropriate patient care.
