To Whom It May Concern:
I am extremely interested in seeking employment with your facility as a nurse practitioner. I feel that my experience working as a hospitalist nurse practitioner for more than 2 years and having greater than 8 years of nursing experience in the acute care setting makes me uniquely qualified to provide exceptional care to the patient population.
My experience as a nurse practitioner involves working as a primary care provider and a hospitalist. In the Arizona State Department of Corrections, I was the primary care provider for approximately 800 inmates. As a hospitalist nurse practitioner, I was responsible for 15-25 patients per day, as well as admissions, discharges and patient transfers. These experiences have greatly expanded my skills in providing primary and acute care to patients of all ages. In addition to my experiences as a nurse practitioner, I started my nursing career on a busy medical surgical unit that cared for a diverse patient population. I have 4 years of experience working in the emergency department, where I developed a hands-on knowledge of important emergency procedures along with developing the skills to correctly interpret diagnostic results and lab tests. I have an excellent bedside manner and am able to quickly and correctly assess patient needs. I am a quick learner, adaptable, energetic, and would be a valuable asset to your practice. I have years of experience collaborating with physicians and ancillary services to ensure appropriate patient care. With my knowledge and experience, I am well positioned to enhance patient care for your facility.
Thank you for your time and consideration for this position. I look forward to discussing my resume further with you at an interview.
Sincerely,
Kristy Bass, FNP-BC
