Working in a large team to assemble core pieces which make up bottom end of the SG 1024 print head. I focused on Fine-tech assembly for 14 months, now all SG 1024 Collars including Hybrids, also since release have taken on MES Super User duties to help ease the load of Operator error in all Cleanroom positions.

Home dryer heating elements is what I started making, moved up to immersion heating elements which included measuring and bending tubes without disturbing the cores, following six to ten blueprints each build, sandblasting cores and flanges, braising, oven curing, final assembly and engraving. Sometimes boxing and labeling, moved to Lead on cold forming die machine and Riveter which meant maintaining die’s and punch’s Preventive maintenance on plc cabinets, air kinematic systems, and troubleshooting Riveter problems with Supervisor. Helped Supervisor with off shift operators. Machines which required polyurethane bushings, instead they had me pouring gear oil directly on bare metal periodically when needed. This was a precursor to me leaving.

Started with striping and pinning wires. I then moved to programing a machine using extruding software I think. I would dictate the gauge of the spool I load in, create the custom file and order for the cut length, strip position, cut depth, and length of strip. Fun part was when I put an order into the machine that would allow the cutters to close and push the striped cable ends back on, so the wire wouldn’t get damaged in transit. Assisted in the expansion of our department including new machines with better cutters, robotics, and software.
