CONTROLLER – Western Region

Oversee 8 Distribution Centers in the Western Region, contributing to 48% of company’s gross profits ($1.5B gross sales in 2017). Manage daily activities including ongoing interaction with Center Directors, analyzing inventory write-offs, PO approvals, and expenses. Perform 13 period closes per Center from journal entry through variance reports (with explanations), balance sheet reconciliations, and cost/case report analysis submitted to Senior Management of Blue Line and Ilitch Holdings. Provide 4 Quarterly Executive Summary reports and annual budgets with each Center Director (also to Senior Management of Blue Line and Ilitch Holdings).

Blue Line annual store revenue grew 43% over the past 5 years.

Negotiated and implemented corporate pricing on shrink-wrap amounting to annual savings of $100K.

Assisted in the implementation of the corporate Chep Pallet program amounting to $380K/year in savings.
