Assistant Engineer II

Designed water systems, applying the principles of hydraulics and fluid mechanics, to be bid on by private contractors. Provided advisory services in the planning and design process of water supply utility projects. Prepared concept layout and specifications for water supply utility projects, including purification and distribution systems. Multi-million dollar infrastructure projects included, mass grading/earth work for the construction of settling ponds for a water treatment plant. Responsible for scheduling of inspections, testing and quality control of material and methods used in construction. Responsible for acceptance of the South North Intertie Project Transmission Pipeline, turnout facility and pump station. On-site inspection of contractors for the Parallel South Feeder Phase II/ Reservoir.
