Designed water main layout, which included steel casings for ease of construction under highways, sewer or pertinent obstructions. Provided guidance and oversight of projects assigned to the water district engineers and consultants. Issued Requests For Qualifications (RFQ) when utilizing consultants; having established a scope of work. Reviewed RFQ’s and worked with consultant to obtain and review hydraulic evaluation, drawings, specifications and cost estimate for projects (bid packages). Assistant Engineer II

Designed water systems, applying the principles of hydraulics and fluid mechanics, to be bid on by private contractors. Provided advisory services in the planning and design process of water supply utility projects. Prepared concept layout and specifications for water supply utility projects, including purification and distribution systems. Multi-million dollar infrastructure projects included, mass grading/earth work for the construction of settling ponds for a water treatment plant. Designed and oversaw the construction of over 21 miles of 48-inch water transmission main. Responsible for scheduling of inspections, testing and quality control of material and methods used in construction. Designed water main layout, which included steel casings for ease of construction under highways, sewer or pertinent obstructions. Responsible for acceptance of the South North Intertie Project Transmission Pipeline, turnout facility and pump station. On-site inspection of contractors for the Parallel South Feeder Phase II/ Reservoir.
