Objective

While I am happy in my current position with Hydro Extrusions at Delhi, I am looking to advance my career and to grow my experiences and managing abilities. Within my current capacity, I have the experience needed to understand the flow of a manufacturing facility as well as how to help drive safety and continuous improvement within a manufacturing culture. I also have gained much experience with Microsoft applications as this is a huge part of my daily job functions.

Production Control Manager

May 2011 – Current

One of my main responsibilities is to maintain the ERP system “Oracle” that we utilize to maintain capacity/demand for all our processes.

One of the important functions that I have is to monitor capacities of each piece of equipment in our plant and dictate when resources need to be moved to help prevent bottlenecks.

I am responsible for flow of production throughout our facility. With this measurement I have set targets for raw material at each process that we will hold, and I monitor this daily to proactively prevent bottlenecks as well as increase throughput.

My current responsibilities are to maintain level loading across all our presses and to weekly report out press lead times in an aggressive but accurate manner.

I am responsible for booking every order that our CSR’s enter based off current capacities and per account profitability.

I am the person responsible for responding to our customer when the CSR’s are having production needs or problems based on the customers inquiry of order status or deliver issues from Delhi.

I am responsible for keeping value add departments (Anodize and Fabrication) level loaded and to report their lead times on a weekly basis.

I maintain our reserve programs to ensure that our reserve customers are booking their orders in the correct dates to utilize their weekly allotments for ordering material.

I am responsible for communicating with our cast house the needs of our extrusion department for the logs needed. We have three presses: a ten, nine, and seven-inch press which extrude 5 different alloys. The alloys we extrude are 6063, 6061, 6005, 6005A, and CU71.

I have experiencing in managing the logistics side of our shipping department. Here I helped to drive a safety culture to prevent any accidents from happening while scheduling trucks to pick up our product for delivery.

I was responsible for helping the Delhi logistics team to onboard and utilize the new fright cloud-based system, TMS.

Education

Associate in Applied Science in Business Technology

Louisianan Delta Community College, Monroe, La. I only completed half of this course. Currently have 24 credits.

While attending Louisiana Delta Community College, I was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

Some of the courses that I have taken are Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Business 101, English 101, and Principles of Marketing. In all the classes that I have taken, my GPA is a 4.0 at the time.

I have received certification through Certiport, A Pearson Vue Business, in Key Application. This pertains to Common Program Functions such as Work Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, File Management, and Collaboration.

I have received certification through Certiport for Computing Fundamentals, this pertains to Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Operating Systems, Troubleshooting, and Basic Maintenance.

I have received certification from Microsoft Office Specialist for Office Excel 2013

I have received certification from Microsoft Office Specialist for Office Word 2013

Communication

Communication is a key part of my job.

I communicate production needs to my fellow managers in our staff meeting every morning concerning capacity issues verses customer demand.

I must communicate weekly to our departments the weekly schedule depending on the weekly work load that is needed to be covered for that week.

I communicate with our CSR and on occasions with customers on delivery dates as needed by customers.

I also communicate holiday and PM schedules to each department as needed.

Leadership

I participated in the Leadership Boot Camp that Hydro sponsored back in the spring of 2014.

In the past I was our local Logistics Manger

I have been a cell lead in our packing and anodize departments and have exceled in each area.

I am currently the Production Control manager.

Abstract

This is an opportunity that I am very excited about applying for. I have many skills and experiences that I feel like have prepared me for this opportunity. Many of the experiences that I have acquired were acquired in my current role in Delhi, as the Production Control Manager.
