Experience:PID Controller Project February - March 2017

● Designed a closed loop system that transfers power from light bulbs through solar panels to run a motor rotating a plywood disk

● Made an equivalent circuit that describes the system

● The feedback was multiplied by the addition of the proportional, integrative, and derivative constants

● Used Arduino to supply variable wattage to the light bulb

Nastran modeling of layflat collector November - December 2016

● Designed the frame for an implement that can pick up HDPE piping (layflat)

● Tested the model for a worst case scenario for use, and confirmed results with hand calculations

Thermally insulated pipe flow design February - March 2016

● Planned the placement of pump along a stretch of over 100,000ft over a variable elevation

● Designed the types of pumps along with the fitting necessary at the stations

● Calculated the heat loss and head loss for a variety of pipe choices

● Chose heating stations and their placement along the path, to ensure the water will not freeze under a prespecified air temperature and speed
