PROJECTS

REAL TIME SIGNBOARD DETECTION (2016-17)

The aim of the project was to detect signboards, billboards, instruction signs in a surrounding area. Further, optical character recognition (OCR) technique was performed on the detected boards to extract the content from respective boards. Graph based visual saliency (GBVS) approach was used to detect the salient object in the image that is taken from a camera. Finally the main objective of our project was mapping the location of the place in the map, which will help in discovering new places on the map.

PROPOTYPE OF VEHICLE PARKING VACANCY DETECTION (2016-17)

IR sensors were used as proximity detectors to detect the presence of a vehicle in parking slot. Information about vacant positions was conveyed to the user via Bluetooth communication on an Android app.

HUMAN LEG MOTION FOLLOWING BIPEDAL ROBOT (2015-16)

Worked under Center of Excellence, VNIT Nagpur on bipedal robot (of 6 DOF) to make it follow the motion of human leg by using Arduino µ-controllers and RF communication (434 MHz).

E-YANTRA COMPETION (2015-16)

Participated to work on problem statement of recycle waste management prototype under the competition E-Yantra organized by IIT Bombay. Worked on 'Firebird' and 'Spark' embedded system autonomous robot platforms provided by ERTS Lab IIT-Bombay with the team of 4 participants.
