Responsibilities as a Trainer:

As a HSE Trainer I deliver both theoretical and practical training elements in different languages to industry standards and client specific requirements. During training the safety and welfare of all delegates are ensured at all times. I always try my best for contributing to uphold develop and maintain the company’s high standards and expectations to ensure the client’s needs are met.

Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with Group and Company HSE requirements;

To ensure the safety and welfare of students and other parties during the conduction of training activities;

Monitor, report and where appropriate investigate all ‘Near-Miss’ incidents as part of the Company’s ‘proactive safety culture’;

Deliver training in compliance with relevant legislative, company policies, industry standards and expectations including client contractual requirements;

Conduct courses to the necessary competence level ensuring continual assessment of students is carried out;

Where relevant, assist in the training and development of staff and to undertake additional training as directed by Company to ensure necessary competence for the duties and responsibilities of their post;

Take personal ownership of upholding their competence levels; understanding and familiarization with OSHAS, BS & Industry Standards to ensure satisfactory delivery of training;

Produce, develop and present ‘PowerPoint’ training packages using Client Training standard templates;

Behave in accordance with the Company’s Core Values ensuring a high standard of quality and company reputation is maintained;

Ensure a high operational readiness of all equipment is sustained, including supervision and conduction of appropriate safety checks and maintenance;

Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness is maintained throughout the establishment;

Contribute to the development of management systems by participating in designated workgroups and projects specific to their section or as directed by Company needs;

Monitor and provide feedback into the management system on course feedback and client comments

Responsibilities as a HSE Engineer/Advisor:

Comply with the company safety policies and procedures.

Inspect construction activities to identify potential hazards and advise supervisors/workers the risk factor involved with the particular activity and the corrective measures to be adopted.

Daily inspection of the site to identify hazards associated with the work, if any and initiate appropriate measures to overcome them.

Ensure that the tool box talks are being conducted daily and any deviations that have been identified the previous day are projected in the meeting to avoid reoccurrence.

Report unsafe act and conditions and initiate corrective action.

Preparation of JSA /JHA and monitoring the preparation of STA

Conducting and participating in job safety meetings.

Ensure that housekeeping is done on a regular basis.

Report and investigate all near misses, incidents, accidents and identify the root cause and take necessary steps to eliminate dangerous and reoccurrence.

Coordinate First Aid, rescue and emergency services.

Ensure that waste generated from the work create minimal hazard to the environmental and are segregated and disposed off as per the local rules and regulations and CHP.

Ensure that safe working practices were adopted for the following activities like Rigging operations, Erection of Pre-caste elements, Erection of Equipments, Excavations, Under ground working, Working at height, Scaffolding, Concrete pouring, Blasting operations, Spray painting Welding, Gas cutting, Grinding, Confined space entry, Electrical safety, Manual handling…etc
