SUMMARY

Experienced Software Engineer primarily in software testing. Experienced in developing software test procedures based on software requirements and industry standards, for both white box testing and black box testing. I have worked with developers to ensure the quality of software projects. As a result, errors were detected and solved at an earlier stage. Furthermore, this shortened development time, lowered development costs, field error rates, and limited field rework.

SOFTWARE SYSTEMS / LANGUAGES

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Teradyne, Buffalo Grove, Il. 2010 - Present

Software Test Engineer

Responsible for developing software test cases to test different Automatic testing equipment platforms. This equipment is used to test electronic components that are used in various electronic devices. Also, I verify that new and existing software and hardware perform correctly on the latest version of the software. In addition, I work with developers to define the source of problems which are encountered and the best way to solve them. I then retest the problems that I found to make sure that the new version of the software fixes the problem and does not create new issues. I also review the code being developed by other engineers for the test equipment. I also review the test procedures that were developed by other engineers to test the software.

I train new engineers in how to use the testers that Teradyne produces and how to run the test procedures that the software testing group uses. I taught them how to install software; use the various software tools used on the tester; and how to verify the tester performs correctly. I show them how to run the test procedures used by the software testing group; how to write up a bug report; and how to retest the bug verifying the problem has been fixed.

Moreover, I develop automated test software that allowed for the testing of both new and existing hardware. These programs allow the user to verify the software changes that have been made for new hardware being developed for the test equipment based on the design for the software. I then wrote applications that allowed for the automated testing of error conditions for the latest software for newest hardware being developed for the testing equipment. These applications allowed for hundreds of error conditions to be tested in a matter of hours. These applications could also be modified to expand the number of error conditions quickly to adapt to changes in the design.
