SUMMARY

Twenty-nine years of Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Nondestructive Examination (NDE) and Engineering experience in Nuclear, Fossil, Petrochemical and Industrial plant operation, outages and construction. Expertise includes extensive skills in the establishment and performance of QC inspections, NDE testing, QA audits, surveillance’s and assessments.

QC experience is in various areas such as: electrical switchgears, panels, motors, cable routing, fire wraps, fire seals, instrumentation; mechanical pumps, valves, structural steel, alignments; welding structural/piping/tubing, piping systems, tubing, brazing, soldiering; concrete slump testing, break testing; earth compaction testing, transit and level operation; lab hardness testing, material analysis, optical comparator and field grade dedications. NDE experience is in various areas such as: acoustic emissions testing (AE), eddy current testing (EC), liquid penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT), ultrasonic thickness testing (UTT) and visual testing (VT). QA experience is in various areas such as: job, site, multi-site, corporate and vender audits, surveillance’s and assessments.

Engineering experience is in various areas such as: welder certification and continuity, equipment reliability, budget tracking, work coordination/scheduling, logistics and project oversight. Abilities encompass the performance of supervision, interpretation of code requirements, project management/implementation, inspection and testing, root cause analysis, planning and the initiation of process improvements.

Outage Manager responsibilities for the Spring 2016 Scheduled Outages on J. M. Stuart Stations Units 3 and 4, included daily site outage budget tracking, work coordination/scheduling, logistics, management update, outage status meeting and oversight of the Lock Out Tag Out, Quality Checks and Safety programs. The Outage Manager was also responsible for implementation of the new Outage Best Practices Program which was a first-time evolution for the site. The Outage Manager developed a Project Charter, Self-Assessments, Lessons Learned documents and contractor evaluation which was submitted to and approved by the Plant Manager, Cooperate Outage Manager, Director of Generation Engineering and Planning and Vice President of Operations. These activities were performed at Dayton Power and Light Company’s, J. M. Stuart Electric Generating Station in Aberdeen, Ohio.
