Rapidly access emergency room patients to triage their care. Proficient in fluorescein staining, start an IV, administering local anesthetics, injections and vaccinations, placement of Foley catheters, casting and splinting, wound care and dressing changes, Unna boot, incision and drainage, closure of wounds via suture, staples, and dermabond/ dermaflex.
Perform new patient surgical consults, hospital rounds and management of inpatient stays for post-surgical patients. Participated in grand rounds and given case presentations. Assisted and gained experience in camera operation in various laparoscopic surgeries. Assisted in endoscopy, bronchoscopy procedures, placement and removal of chest tubes, ABG, lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation, assisted respiration. Assisted with the transplant team in organ harvesting surgeries.
Perform new patient neuro consults. Assisted in the care and management of various neurological conditions and EEG interpretation.
Complete skin check, both cosmetic and clinical new dermatology consults and assisted in shave and punch biopsies, cryosurgery, curettage, electrocautery, mole removals.
