I’ve been involved in the construction industry for over 20 years as a GC/builder/developer/designer, and thrive on overcoming challenges, juggling multiple projects and clients in various phases at any one time.

EXPERIENCE

JASPER HIGHLANDS, Jasper, TN • President of Jasper Highlands Homes

Took the upstart home division for the 9,000 acre development to 15 custom home builds per year, with 10-15 homes in the design phase at any given time. Designed & branded the Plateau Collection of Homes for the development’s inaugural home catalog. Designed, built and interior designed the development’s “Jasper” model home. Created many original floor plans in the 1,450-5,600 square foot range.

Consulted with prospective and existing land owners on their lots and at the model home, and engaged them in the design/build process. Coordinated, facilitated introductions and set up banking relationships, construction loans, appraiser and vendor meetings. Designed & built the 6,000 square foot Pat’s Summitt timber-framed Pavilion and Catering facilities and premier wedding destination. Designed & renovated the former Eyear Optical commercial building in Kimball, TN into the sales and design center for the development.

BROW WOOD, Lookout Mtn., GA • Builder/Designer

Worked hand-in-hand with partners Duane Horton of GenTech Construction and Frank Brock of Thistledown Land Company to create “The Brow Wood Collection,” a portfolio of homes specific to the active adult community. Designed and built the development’s “Blackburn” model home.

DOGWOOD GROVE, Signal Mountain, TN • Designer/Developer/Builder

Located and purchased raw land (33 acres). Designed the development from the ground up. Attended numerous town hall meetings on subdivision & sewer regulations. Successfully financed, platted and recorded the subdivision’s infrastructure with all land improvements including full sewer, spring-fed central park, wide tree-lined medians, clay brick dry-laid road, sidewalks, clock tower & pedestrian arches. Designed and built the 12,300sf cornerstone French Tudor home.

SELECT HOMES

LOOKOUT MANOR, a 9,400sf Tudor mansion located directly across from the top of the landmark Incline. This custom estate sits proudly atop Lookout Mountain on the former site of the Lookout Inn, and was purchased by philanthropists Renee Haugerud and John Murphy.

THE GERMAN STONE FARMHOUSE in Charlottesville, VA. The home was purchased by Patrick Quinn, Principal at The Accord Group, Washington, D.C.

THE 300 at the historic Fleetwood Building in downtown Chattanooga, TN. This 3400sf event space was built for Michael and Amanda Buchanan and boasts Venetian Plaster, a classic colonnade vestibule and many “Vegas” like touches that make this condominium one-of-a-kind for the southeast.
