SUMMARY
Electrical Engineering student seeking internship for the summer of 2019 to use and expand electrical engineering knowledge in industry.
EDUCATION
Michigan Technological University (MTU) Expected May 2021 BS in Electrical Engineering, Photonics Concentration GPA: 3.31
PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Engineering Fundamentals 1 Fall 2017
Worked on a team of 3 to design and construct a miniature wind turbine that operated efficiently at varying wind speeds.
Researched varying designs using ProQuest to determine which specific model operated most efficiently
Produced an operable wind turbine under a $30 team budget and size specification restraints
Tested 2 prototype designs before concluding which materials allowed it to function optimally
Collected data values at varying wind speeds in a mock wind tunnel
Implemented Mathworks MATLAB to analyze findings and simulate a life-size wind turbine Engineering Fundamentals 2, Project Lead Spring 2018 Worked on a team of 4 to develop a microbrewery within specific dimension requirements.
Planned and organized team meetings 3-5 times per week where progress and deadlines were discussed
Delegated roles to each team member throughout each project deliverable
Researched various methods for each unit process to maximize space efficiency
Modeled each unit process using Siemens NX and combined individual parts into an assembly
Created Mathworks MATLAB GUI that took 4 user inputs and outputted 10 values and charts
Tested final assembly using Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Presented findings to a group of students and professors via Microsoft PowerPoint TECHNICAL SKILLS
Mathworks MATLAB Wolfram Mathematica C++
Siemens NX C
