• Located at the Engineering and Design Center for the company

• Worked with the Design Team daily alongside Bottle/Product Engineers and Industrial Designers

• Learned and participated in the Extrusion Blow Molding and Injection Molding processes for plastics

• Communicated with 65 CCC plants across the U.S. to gather necessary bottle data and dimensions for testing

• Ran bottle prototypes sent from Industrial Designers through the 3D printer to ship out to clients

• Assisted in giving quotes to clients for the usage of CCC’s services

• Re-evaluated bottle design properties with Design Team and fixed within Siemens NX

• Gathered critical data measurements using calipers to begin reverse engineering process for different bottle models

• Streamlined bottle tolerance standards through coded Excel spreadsheets that were set to be utilized company-wide

• Performed FEA on potential bottles using NRC BlowView, a blow-molding simulation software which included calculations of flow-rate, fill line vs. actual volume, and top load simulations

• Communicated closely with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and their Advanced Manufacturing and Design Systems program as well as their Special Interest Group in Blow Molding (SIGBLOW) to learn more about the software and its usage on CCC’s products

• Researched and presented NRC BlowView software to rest of the Design Team for daily usage after my departure

• Created a detailed guideline (with videos) on how to use BlowView software for future reference
