Founded, built and led a high performance and talented cross-functional (Architecture, Dev, QA, Performance/Scalability, Automation, Escalation, Documentation) global engineering team from 0 to 200+ members distributed in the US, India, Europe and China responsible for the creation, development and support of the then brand-new Cisco WebEx Social Product for Enterprises: a large scale web-based Facebook-like social software application that brings real-time and asynchronous collaboration into a single integrated experience, delivered through desktop browsers and native mobile apps, for improving communication, collaboration and productivity at the work place.

Product was successfully built through significant internal innovation and development via Agile methodology in combination with leveraging leading-edge technologies acquired commercially or open source resulting in improved innovation velocity, teamwork, time to market and quality.

Solution was successfully deployed at customer premises at numerous large enterprises and internally at Cisco each with a large number of users. Also, delivered as a SaaS through the Cisco Webex Cloud to small and mid-size enterprises.

Founded, built and led a high performance and talented cross-functional (Architecture, Dev, QA, Performance/Scalability, Automation, Escalation, Program Management) global engineering team from 0 to 100+ members distributed in the US and India responsible for the creation, development and support of the then brand-new Cisco Unified Communication Contact Center Express, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), and SoftPhone Products all designed for small to mid-size customer premises deployments.

Products I led allowed Cisco to enter and succeed in the IP Contact Center market capturing the #1 world-wide market share in Interactive Voice Response and #2 in Contact Center with 20,000+ customers / enterprises worldwide.

Started off my products in the US and after achieving a significant market success and maturity, their engineering was moved predominantly to India with a small team left in the US.
