projectingtheinformaticprocessflowoftheupgradesoftware. Weappliedthisnewprocessmodelwhendesigningthenew

documentationstructureanddevelopingcontent.

estimateofwhatthefinalupgradesoftwarewouldbe.Asthe softwareupgradedevelopedthemanualswererevised.

(40”x145”)constructiondrawingsfornuclearpowerplants.The cameraincludedimageenhancingcapabilitiestoproducea balanceddensitymicrofilm,andindexingfeaturestoimprove archivingandretrieval.Theoperators’manualdescribed standardandbulkfilmingandmicrofilmingtorestorewornor damageddrawings.

customers,Iestablishedamodularwritingsystemwhich

reducedcreativeexpensesby30%andproductionexpensesby 50%.Thesystemconsistedoftemplateswhichformedthe

structureofthedocument(s)andalibraryoftext/artmodules fromwhichvariousmodulecombinationswouldfillthe

structure.Onlyareasofhighvariationrequiredwritingfrom scratch.LaterIrefinedthesemodularwritingtechniquesintoa sell-ablepackageto1)establishtemplate/librarysystemsfor clients,and2)traintheirpersonneltousethem.Providingthis servicepackageincreasedthescopeofmanycontractsfromone ortwodocumentstotheproductionofanentiredocumentation system.Expandingthescopeofexistingcontractsincreased incomewithouttheoverheadofpursuingnewclientsales.
