May 2015 to October 2018: M Modal/Alliance Healthcare Documentation. Medical Transcriptionist. Full time employee transcribing medical records for large medical centers in Maine. All worktypes including specialties of operative reports, cardiac catheterizations, history and physicals, consultations, acute care. Left due to lack of work

January 2008 to May 2015. Self-Employed. Medical Transcriptionist/Editor for several large accounts nationwide. Work at home. Straight typing and voice recognition. Ops, cardiology, acute care specialties. Left IC to pursue benefits as employee.

July 2004 to January 2008: EMTS: Medical Transcriptionist full time for acute care facilities. Specialties ops and cardiology. Left position to pursue flexible schedule as IC.

June 1997 to December 2004: Medical Transcriptionist Orlando Regional Medical Center. Full-time at home. Duties: Accurately transcribe for acute care hospital system, maintaining over 200 lines/hour with above 98% accuracy all disciplines including H&P, consults, and discharge summaries, specializing in op and cardiology reports. Ranked #2 and #3 in production and quality consistently. Left position for better money and hours.

June 1996 to June 1997: Regional Transcription Manager, Transcend Services. Duties included overseeing transcription staff of hundreds in several states. Obtained hospital accounts for service, traveled to hospital to outsource employees and install transcription platform. Left for warmer weather in Florida and to work in hospital setting as a medical transcriptionist.

Other experience: 1982 to 1996: Worked in hospitals on site, in offices, and at home for various medical transcription services, physician's practices in Florida, Boston and NY as medical transcriptionist, medical administrative assistant, and medical transcription office manager (during college and until present).
