Project Description:
Freightliner provides customized trucks. Based on the customer requirements, sales applications generate DB code, which will give idea about the part and BOM associated with it. Engineering system will prepare design to the parts to be used. Manufacturing system deals with various application supporting the manufacturing and assembly of trucks by freightliner. Vehicle specification and frame punch information are initial inputs for manufacturing process. Based on detailed vehicle specification, a BOM is prepared which is passed as an input to material planning system
Responsibilities:
Involved in development/enhancement of applications using JCL, COBOL, DB2, IMS
Requirements gathering, business analysis, preparing functional design documents and creating test cases and providing software development services.
Convert business requirements into functional, non-functional and technical requirements.
Gathering business requirements and creating functional design specifications. Provide first response to reported production incidents followed by resolution or escalation as necessary and status reporting.

Changed the existing sytem to automate the invoicing process for Gliders.

Project Description:
Fincads (Financial Capture and Distribution system) is a capturing system which receives financial data specific to card Members and Merchants.
Fincads processes the financial data received and distributes to Card Member billing system and Merchant payment system after validation. The workstation programs are developed in MF-COBOL. The Mainframe programs are written in VS-COBOL II and Database used is IMS.
The task involves application maintenance, enhancements and supporting the system by providing timely resolutions to the problems specific to application, problems reported to the Help desk.
Fincads creates daily, weekly and monthly reports for the processed feeds which will be used for tracking the financial data processed and business analysis.
