EDS Saturn Remote Support - Phoenix, AZ

Team Leader for Saturn Warranty Expense Analysis Project involving 5 programmers and 60+ batch and on-line COBOL, DB2, IMS programs. Involvement included all aspects of systems development life cycle, including Project Management.

Team Leader for a group of five systems engineers supporting Saturn Service Parts Operations. Designed, constructed, and implemented Long Term Forecast process which provides inventory requirements and forecasting information from one month to 35 years from present.

Project leader for ‘above and beyond’ “Pre-Campaign To Actual” process which involved 12 SE’s working after hours in an effort to construct and system test a 50+ module subsystem for Saturn SSM within a set time frame. Responsibilities included project management, as well as programming and testing.

Team member of Saturn Material Flows. Highlights include designing and implementing a means for an outside vendor (IPD) to electronically transmit Exception Route information to update Saturn databases, and to receive electronic status updates on those EDE transmissions.

Expertise achieved in batch and on-line programming utilizing COBOL, SQL, DB2, PL1, ALC, and IMS. Training completed in C, C++, Java.

As a Systems Engineer supported DBMS batch and on-line applications utilizing ADABAS/NATURAL facilities in IBM TSO/CICS environment. Responsibilities included: batch cycle scheduling, monitoring, and abnormal termination resolution: maintenance and troubleshooting in Claims, Loans, Collections, and Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) subsystems: lead Systems Engineer in the Accounting subsystem. Spearheaded efforts to redesign the collection payment insertion/reversal process. Coordinated interviews with service request originators to define requirements and propose solutions. Served as a walk-through SE verifying integrity of programming changes prior to promotion to production environment.
