Schlumberger Systems Engineer 2011-2015

Manage data center server and network infrastructure. Evaluate and test data center architectures and remote 3d visualization applications in support of Schlumberger hardware resale business. Schlumberger Senior Network Engineer –1995-2011

Design network solutions for Schlumberger and their global customers. Provide third level support for the Schlumberger global network and other Schlumberger customers. Three years satellite experience with iDirect. Designed and implemented countless offshore and global voice/data networks, including global outsource, and commercial services. Performed as a network consultant for the sales team, field offices, and customers. Played a key role in contract bids, customer presentations, design, project management, and third level support.

Project examples:

Pride International: Designed and implemented a 25 site global satellite solution with iDirect modems, 1.8 meter fixed antennas, routers, switches, VoIP and Call Manager. Completed the project on time and as a result, critical year end revenue targets were met.

Conoco Magnolia offshore platform:. Designed and implemented the complete offshore network with redundant stabilized satellite links, redundant LAN, and secure multi-customer onshore connections. Key features included VoIP, H.323 Video, third party VPNs through MPLS, bandwidth allocation, QOS features, BGP, routers, and redundant LAN. This project won a Performed by Schlumberger global award with the networking component being a principal part of the project recognition. The engineering and successful implementation of this project guaranteed a multi-year contract for well over $1.2M.
