OBJECTIVE

Innovative, experienced CAD Drafter/Designer who has demonstrated knowledge by providing 2D or 3D project deliverables, seeking a full-time position as a Drafter/Designer.

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science, Design and Development from Sam Houston State University 2012

Major: Engineering Technology, Minor: Horticulture

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Legacy Measurement Solutions, Design Engineer/Vault Administrator The Woodlands, TX 2018-2019

Was designated to use Autodesk Inventor to create 3D models of GPU’s (Gas Production Units) and Meter Tube Assemblies for clients as well as worked as the Vault Administrator.

Modeled each component of the GPU that included skid, building, pressure vessel, firetube, line heater, coil assemblies, meter run, control and accessories models (threaded piping), and spool assemblies (welded piping).

Utilized the frame generator tool in Inventor to design and build the skid and building of the units. This method of modeling the skid and building allows easier modification without disrupting the integrity of the model and the features used (notch, trim/extend, cuts, etc.)

Worked extensively with pipe, valves, hammer unions, elbow, tees, pressure relief valves, orifice meters, and many other piping accessories to create threaded and welded pipe assemblies for the water, gas, and oil lines for the unit.

Built a General Assembly of the GPU by constraining each component together to form an overall view of the unit. This makes it easier to catch clashes, find issues in size, catch piping that is not lining up, or any other issues before it goes to fabrication.

Created technical drawings that would show dimensions, bill of materials, fabrication notes, welding, item call outs, and cut pieces in order to give the fabricator an accurate drawing to build from. These drawings were managed by revisions and updated per change requested by client or shop floor.

All parts, assemblies, and drawings that were created were organized and placed into Vault, the file management system.

Developed the Standardized Modeling Procedure that was used as the guideline for how the designers were to model GPU’s and each component associated. This allowed us to stay consistent in design regardless of the designer building it.

Utilized QAD to search for part numbers which were associated to parts we purchased to build the units.

Worked as the Vault Administrator for Legacy. This role included managing all Vault files and file structures. Began implementing the ECO’s (Engineering Change Order) and Work States process in Vault. These processes would enable the tracking and reporting of files in Vault and their associated stages of completion.
