ENGINEERING PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Senior Design Project January 2017-December 2017
Examined peel tests used to simulate car crashes.
Worked with Honda to reduce the variation in data of peel tests between two dissimilar metals.
Designed new equipment using Solidworks intended to create more reliable stress-strain curves.
Presented Honda with a workable, tested design that achieved the specification of the project.
Characterization of Mechanical Properties of Metals March 2017
Compared a commercially made alloy to different sintered samples to determine what aging time was used on the alloy.
Sintered samples were held at a set temperature for different periods of time and pulled in tension using an Instron.
Compiled data to plot stress-strain curves to calculate mechanical properties of the metal.
Compared mechanical properties to find the correct aging time of the commercial alloy.
Miller Indices Project January 2016
Created a script to generate a list of unique vectors that would omit any parallel vectors.
Utilized MATLAB software to complete the design of the script.
Achieved the appropriate number of vectors and received an A grade.
