Job Scope

Created and managed automated processes to submit and process incoming files increasing processing efficiency. Replaced manual process of reformatting Excel spreadsheets to text based file eliminating manual errors. Ensured file transmissions were secure through either encryption or secure FTP connection.

Created perl scripts which automatically reformatted files, transmitted for processing while polling for results to create error report. Replaced manual process and decreased errors.

Managed MoveIT Central ensuring secure transmission of files and managing host connections and passwords.


Job Scope

Provided system enhancements and upgrades to increase business functionality and maintain system stability. IBM Mainframe backend with cobol processing and JCL/Procs. Managed the on-line interface system (HPS) providing all design, coding, implementation and documentation while applying system updates.

Team lead / system administrator for on-line interface. This included all designs, coding, testing, implementation and documentation and applying application releases for utility bug fixes. All programs for the HPS interface were Cobol programs residing in the CICS region.

Designed cobol process to retrieve different files from the DORA application. System would retrieve the file through FTP dynamically creating FTP commands, create a compare file, then FTP the file back. Process was flexible so any file provided would be retrieved and processed.

Provided on-call production support for nighty batch processing.
