Security Officer, primary function is asset protection for the airport, controlling ingress and egress of vendors, visitors and contractors. Security also assists Border Customs Protection personnel upon arrival of international passenger flights.

Redlands Community Hospital Security
Security Officer, primary function was protection of patients, staff and facility. Assisted with movement and control of mental health patients. Provided assistance to medical staff with unruly visitors and patients, protection of the facility itself. Created Standard Operating Procedure Manual for the Department. Assisted visitors with guidance and directions.
February 2007 – March 2015
University of Redlands Department of Public Safety
Supervisor/Sergeant, Supervised 12 officers, 5 dispatchers, 5 shuttle drivers and two locksmiths. Was the interim Associate Director (Assistant Chief) while recruitment was conducted. Aided in creating policy and procedures, implemented new policy directives from the Chief, represented the Department at meetings with the academic side of the University and mentored officers to aid them in promotion. Created work schedules, handled payroll and assisted with the budget and purchasing. Was the Executive Officer when the Chief and Assistant Chief were unavailable. Was a field supervisor and emergency dispatcher and handled other assorted administrative duties such as reviewing reports and day to day operations.
July 1976 – July 2005
San Bernardino Police Department
Police Officer for the City of San Bernardino. I attained the rank of Corporal for six months however due to a bond measure not passing the funding stopped and I returned the rank of police officer. During my tenure with SBPD, I was a motorcycle officer for 15 years of my 29 years. I also worked patrol, personnel and was a member of the Hostage Negotiations Team. I was a driving instructor, a traffic instructor and motorcycle instructor and later became a Hostage Negotiator Instructor. My final six years were at a local mall where I was the Officer in charge of Mall Security.

San Bernardino Economic Development Agency
Supervisor/Sergeant of a 40 man security outfit. Handled scheduling and payroll and day to day operations
1998 – 2009
San Jose State University
Instructor for the Criminal Justice Program conducted through San Jose State University. Instructed law enforcement on how to deal with barricaded subjects, hostage takers and crisis intervention. This was done for both the basic and advanced classes.

Supervisor/Sergeant for City Hall Security and City owned property. Supervised 7 officers, created schedules, budgets and handled payroll.
