SME & Healthcare Consulting Manager; TATA Consulting, Santa Barbara CA, (08/2013-present) Managed the development requirements of a Healthcare proprietary analytics tool for both administrative and clinical informatics. This product has its own DBMS and I was responsible for the creation and validation of the data model as well as the use case scenarios and solutions. The team was global and the development work was done around the clock using very tight scrums.
Manager Business Intelligence & Reporting; Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach CA, (12/2009-3/2012) Evaluated and presented software options for the deployment of a “Clinical” Data Warehouse. Designed interfaces to new environments including EHR. Managed an operational reporting team creating reports for various nursing floors and other hospital departments including performance improvement team. Participated in the planning and opening of two new hospitals in Irvine, CA.
Senior Product /Engagement Manager; Hewlett-Packard, US & UK (12/06-10/2009) Managed the deployment of the new HP real time Data Warehouse Platform (Neoview startup). He organized and led various size teams thru pre-sales challenges against competitor DW platforms. He planned and managed the hardware install, software conversions and application implementations. Responsibilities included advertiser reporting analytics and the Business Intelligence Architecture. Owen was responsible for data security and information confidentiality. This was a 24/7 job.
Project Manager: UC Davis School of Med Hospital (4/2012-07/2012) Planned and managed the instillation of EPSi for the hospital finance department. This project included the conversion of existing legacy data.

(09/04-01/05) Project Manager and Architect for rapid implementation of a interim data warehouse (IDW) used to “house” metrics for Share Holder Valuation Accounting. SVA is used as “dash board” to run the business and calculate profitability and executive performance bonus.

(10/02-12/03) As Chief Architect and Manager of a patient financial Data Warehouse, extracting data from over a hundred plus hospitals, this position quickly demonstrated both his excellent communications and soft skills, as well as organizational abilities. He had complete responsibility for project planning as well as selection and creation of the ETL, OLAP, Dash Board and Data Mining environments. Owen was commissioned to investigate, design and write a new and innovative Information Delivery Strategy that crossed the entire supply chain and included locations in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
Project Manager; TXU Marketing, Dallas, TX. (3/2001-12/2001) Owen managed Business Intelligence, Data Mining and CRM implementations using Siebel and Epiphany. This required market segmentation analysis, creation of numerous Data Marts and various project plans to achieve a marketing advantage for three major company divisions across multiple channels. He designed and managed the test “sand box” which incorporated numerous external data sources.
