Related Work Experience
Participant –National University of Singapore- International Energy Seminar (2018)
-I was invited and participated in the Youth Seminar “What A Changing Arctic Means for Singapore”. This seminar’s objectives were to create awareness about climate change and focus on efficient renewable energy systems.
Research Assistant – Texas Tech – Inorganic Chemistry Lab (2016)
-I prepared and evaluated thousands of samples in the research effort to synthesize low density aerogels to form highly active metal oxide catalysis by increasing the metal components in the structure. This research has demonstrated potential application for energy storage.
Research Assistant- Texas Tech- Fluid Mechanics Lab (2015)
-Working independently, I designed and performed experiments to determine the characteristics of various hydrophilic and hydrophobic coatings. My research also included measuring droplet sizes and splash radii of various liquids falling from various heights. I became proficient in the use of high-speed cameras with image interface as well as MATLAB software.
Engineering Intern – Tundra Green, Anchorage Alaska (2013)
-Tundra Green is a startup company focused on designing efficient aeroponic, modular greenhouses for deployment in rural Alaska. My primary responsibility was to research commercially available LED bulbs for possible use in this manufacturing project and to calculate the energy burden required for each candidate system.
Engineering Intern – NANA Pacific, Anchorage Alaska (2012)
-NANA Pacific is an engineering and construction service company supporting a diverse set of clients. As an engineering aide, I assisted project managers in putting together project proposals and cost analyses. I also assisted in compiling progress reports for ongoing projects
