The plant has changed ownership many times – most recently as Vertis Communications and then acquired by Wisconsin based Quad/Graphics, who continue to acquire, consolidate, close and restructure facilities throughout the company.
Press Operator / Team Leader
Provide leadership, training and development of five crewmembers working on high-speed offset printing presses such as Goss Community, c500Magnum,Harris 900, Goss C700/C700I.
Monitor the flow of materials, equipment set-ups, job progress, quality and scheduling. Committed to safety, quality, efficiency, productivity and customer-satisfaction.
Oversee the preparation of the press for operation by verifying proper documentation and web-threading procedures and inspecting, adjusting or replacing slitter knives. Set register, mount plates, maintain water supply center and adjust amounts for proper ink solution.
Troubleshoot, repair and performpreventativemaintenanceonequipment.
