Satellite Network Operations NCOIC
Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
In a combat environment while serving in Afghanistan as part of Task Force Phoenix IX, I served as the Network Operation NCOIC. My responsibilities included but were not limited to the configuration and deployment of a tactical satellite network (WIN-T) as well as strategic WAN/LAN infrastructure. This network included 4 Microsoft Servers, two of which running Cisco Call Manager, 18 Cisco routers and switches as well as 2 Microsoft Servers running Solar Winds LAN management tools. These networks where non-secure and secure (secret) voice and data networks. I also served as a member of a combined joint forces communication staff that operated and maintained all radio and SatCom communication for all of Camp Mike Spann as well as the POC for theater medical systems (MC4). This office ran a full helpdesk which performed such duties as, Active Directory management, baseline imaging of computers for deployment, installation of networked and local printers.
