RESEARCH PROJECTS
NETWORK AUTOMATION USING PYTHON
The idea was inspired from ClosedFlow: OpenFlow-like Control over Proprietary Devices, which allows enterprises to control the network through a centralized controller by using Python scripts, which is able to send and receive configurations and information from all managing boxes in the network without entering authentication information to login to each box. The program requires an MS Excel file that contains authentication information of the managing boxes including Name, IP address, Username, and Password. Tested to implement the same project using Ansible and Python scripts and YAML files.
SMART BATTERY LEVEL MONITOR WITH REMOTE ACCESS FOR IOT DEVICES
The novelty of the research project was to develop a web application to remotely monitor the battery usage level and device information of an Internet of Things (IoT) network of Raspberry Pis using Java. Used Play framework in association with MySQL database and Arbor.js, a visualization library using web workers and jQuery for remote access through web. Deployed the application in an Ubuntu server and managed the server using Ubuntu Canonical.
