PROFESSINAL EXPERIENCE

FTTX SITE ENGINEER AT OMAN FIBER OPTICS (OBC), OMAN (MARCH 2017- SEP 2018)

Implemented the scope of work for the placement of Bowser zone-8 and 3 in line with Oman broadband company’s specifications and standards.

Performing site inspection, site survey, implementing guidelines of Outside Plant Network and Engineering practices with familiarization of International Telecommunications Standard.

Ability to manage multiple subcontractor and direct installation teams (OSP/Civil Works/FOC).

Cross verify the contractors are practicing QHS&E health and safety standards during working hours and wearing all necessary PPEs.

Report on all Infrastructures related issues and site snags.

To provide technical feedback to the design team on the improvements of design aspects according to the practical experience obtained from on the site.

Manage the delivery of all materials to the sites in coordination with company's store and/contracted approved vendors.

Attend meetings with subcontractors and site issues,expedite progress of work.

Requesting for material approvals, Inspection reports and acceptance tests.

End to end fiber testing for long distance and building connectivity.

Daily/Weekly report update and reporting to management and client through,Dropbox,DLR, DPR about the progress and quality of work and forward to the manager periodically and as required.

Investigate delayed works of contractor and report to higher management.

Checking and verification of As Built BOQ /Additional BOQ and Comparison BOQ of multiple sub-contractor.

Reviews and update summary sheet for FTTH ISP/OSP cabling requirements ensuring FTTH ISP and OSP capacities are figured adequately and accurately for the assigned project.

Structured Cabling System standards and Industry standards to ensure project deployment quality are delivered with standard compliance.

Planning of GSM/P2P/FTTB/FDT Project.

Daily Site Inspections and checking quality of works according to Telecommunication Specification and Standards which include trenching, placement of main-duct and sub-duct, warning tapes, back filling, concrete & compaction, re-instatement of asphalt, milling and paving, installation of hand-hole/ manhole, HDD, site grading and leveling, marker post installation work etc.

Ensure safety issues at sites, which include, contractor sign boards, safety concrete blocks, pedestrian crossings, traffic signs, flash lights, diversion lights, worker safety and their tools, work permits, Planning and Survey for Telecommunication Projects and their connectivity to BTS GSM networks for FOC with reference to Ring Diagram.

Responsible for site selection for installation of ONU(optical Network Unit)FDT(Fiber Distribution Terminal).

Coordination for issuance of permission from the concerned department i.e. Municipalities (Baladiya), Highways,DDO Roads, Railways etc.

Implementation of Excavation of Civil & sub duct laying work according to approved Project Specification.

Supervise splicing and jointing as per approved FOC schematic & jointing drawings and ODF/ODB termination according to Fiber Schematic Diagram & monitoring all testing process after completion of splicing & termination.

Checking of all related Materials to ensure telecom approved supplier.

Attending/ Conducting PAT Test Civil & Electrical as per standard, specification and procedures.

Conducting/ attending weekly meeting with contractors and with clients discussing the critical issues and push up contractors to complete site work before dead line.

Reporting to Project Manager in advance for the Site's requirements (ODFs, Owner permission, permits delayed).

Checking & Review of PAT binders according to PAT & As-Built Drawings/ Documentation and maintain the record of PAT Binders and handover to O&M Department.

Checking and verification of PAC (provisional Acceptance certificate) at the time of clearance of 10% remaining amount.

Responsible for all aspects of construction inspection, asbuilt and implementation and oversight of proper construction methods as per Sprint Underground/Aerial Fiber Optic
