Revised the known distribution and environmental preferences of an important root pathogen in eastern North America that can be used in future research and forest management practices and produced detailed GIS maps of projections.

Designed a project that implanted GIS application in novel way to address gaps in knowledge of fungal distributions.

Presented research products at a national conference held at University of California, Berkeley.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, TN August 2014 – June 2015

Served a core role in drastically improving park management and communication by assisting in the construction of an interactive online database of park trail features that employees could update.

Established the basework of a large project collecting the GPS coordinates and parameters of trail signs and bridges throughout the park by initiating the acquisition of over 300 photo-referenced data points.

Combined use of TotalStation surveys, CAD software and GIS to assist the accurate collection of all campsite features in a national park.
