Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for all patient while under the care and duty of the hospital by preparing and safety positioning the patient in order to get the most accurate images.

Prepared patients for procedures by explaining what would happen and calming patients who were fearful about the procedure and the possible results and took brief medical history.

Ensured clear pictures for physicians reducing the incidents of having to redo the procedure resulting in cost savings and less stress for patients.

Evaluated images to determine if additional images should be taken.

Accountable for organizing work schedules and maintaining accurate patient records.

Ensured patient safety by utilizing radiation protection devices.

Works as a team member and friendly approach with staff members.

Completed 10 weeks of In-service training at the end of the degree programme. Assisted in Diagnostic Radiographic procedures in Radiology department multiple teaching hospitals and leading private hospitals in the country. Served a diverse caseload including newborns, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. Ensured patient comfort and operated within an integrated plan of care/service Prepared and positioned patients for radiographic examinations operated all major, portable diagnostic imaging equipment.

Completed the training program on “Developing leadership qualities & positive thinking”, held by the ministry of higher education (2011).
