PRODUCTION PLANNER/SCHEDULER

Collaborated with sales, fabrication, warehouse, and assembly supervisors in weekly backlog meetings to develop production schedules to ensure on-time deliveries. Printed production orders and assembled packets and distributed to appropriate work centers. Monitored work flow for up to a dozen assemblers and machinists to verify work was on schedule. Created stock orders to maintain safety stock levels of fabricated parts. Configured and updated BOM’s from manufacturing prints and adjusting time requirements. Worked with purchasing to ensure parts shortages were identified and purchase orders created, and deliveries scheduled for on-time customer order shipments.

PRODUCTION PLANNER

Monitored work flow for up to a dozen machinists to group similar projects and keep constraints fed at optimum levels. PRODUCTION PLANNER (2005 – 2006)

Developed production schedules for manufacture of 7 million totes per year for the United States Postal Service and Uline. Maintained scheduling spreadsheet to reflect daily production schedules for nearly 150 production workers running 24/7/365. Oversaw nine production supervisors covering all shifts.

Generated nearly 3000 MOs per year from SOPs based on shipping/need by date. Created and verified BoM’s for all manufactured items. Verified adequate inventory to complete production runs plastic pellets, wire, ink, extruded plastic sheets to manufacture nearly 20,000 totes per day. Communicated completion/shipping date for SOPs to customer satisfaction staff.
