Presented project on Life cycle analysis (LCA) as an assessment tool for process alternatives to reduce the renewable resources.
LCA was carried out with the help of SimaPro software to evaluate the environmental impacts of product at all stages of life cycle.
Sustainability was considered as the priority interest to established the impact of this process on human health, ecosystems and resources.
Three alternative process flow diagrams (PFDs) were developed by Aspen Plus and were suggested as an options to azeotropic distillation which was evaluated and characterized in terms of performance, energy footprint & their environmental impact.
