Established, maintained, and utilized GPC, DSC, TGA, FTIR, Kin-Vis baths, 150C, Cold Crank, MRV-TP-1, Sonic Shear, and Bosch Shear. Designed and built Ionic reactors, with Inert Atmospheric techniques. Utilized pyrophoric and moisture-sensitive catalysts and additional hazardous materials. Maintained and used solvent stills to generate anhydrous solvents necessary for reactions. Communicated test results via LIMS and computer-based lab programs.

CINTICHEM, Tuxedo Park, New York, Uranium Plating Lab Technician, 1983-1990. Operated concentrated acids and bases in bulk, chemical separations, and titration of large batch solutions. Performed chemical etching of stainless-steel tubing and detailed plating solution makeup and welding and leak checking of finished uranium plated target for insertion into Nuclear Reactor. Maintained demineralizer system used in maintaining pool water quality within posted specifications, ion exchange columns, and bulk filtering system as well as prescribed pH and resistivity of primary coolant water. Performed safe disposal of wastes generated within facility. Conducted heat exchanger efficiency calculations and maintenance. Managed and operated cooling tower. Oversaw licensed activities of operators in manipulating controls of facility. Served as emergency director of emergency plan, coordinating abnormal and emergency situations.
