Gavin De Becker 2018-

Executive Protection of ultra high net-worth clients, while providing risk-based protective programs for corporate and family concerns. Armed close protection of commercial and residential assets with an emphasis on threat mitigation and counter-surveillance. Travel security while working alone or in teams to provide travel logistics, threat assessment and in transit close protection. Surveillance Security Inc. 2017-2018

Worked as a line officer on a Federal contract for the Department of Veteran Affairs. Duties included Mobile security and Executive Protection for visiting government officials, vehicle entry control at the gate and personnel entry control, video monitoring, security badge dispersal and control.

Securitas 2013-2017

Shift Supervisor at Oracle Technology Center. Duties included supervision of an armed team overseeing entry/exit control for personnel and vehicles. Site surveillance with cameras, motion sensors, and retinal scanners, as well as, daily logistics and internal communication. Triple Canopy 2009-2012

Worked three cycles in Baghdad for the Department of State on a WPPS II then later WPS High Threat Diplomatic Security contract. Duties included protection and transport of high risk personnel (Dignitaries, Legal Counsel, Politicians, Persons in Academia) through and outside the city. Prospective site survey and Advance site details were common, as well as, transport of Government materials, both American and Iraqi.

Worked one year as a static guard in Israel for Triple Canopy with the Israeli Defense Force. Duties included providing Mobile Security for all VIP personnel present at the site, static security, search of all incoming material, either personal or industrial, maintaining constant record of all personnel on site through a badging system. U.S. Marine Corps 2004-2008

Four-year enlistment as a member of CAAT (combined anti-armor team) which provided heavy weapon and vehicle support, reconnaissance and observation, as well as ambulatory medical support. I provided Mobile Security for Battalion Command in Egypt, Iraq, the Philippine Islands, and Korea.

Combat deployment to the Al Anbar Province in Iraq. The deployment included participation in MSR Security, Operation Iron Hammer, Steel Curtain, and Election Security in Hit with 2nd Battalion 1st Marines.

Worked as a technical adviser in the Philippines with both the Philippine Army and Philippine Marines.

Implemented several changes to platoon SOPs (standard operating procedures) concerning weapons handling, convoy security, marksmanship fundamentals, and leadership styles.

Oversaw the development of new Javelin platoon. Worked as a key creative mind in generating an equipment roster, and mission statement for the platoon to efficiently fill the Battalion’s requirements.

Gained extensive experience in convoy security, weapons coordination, communications, medical aid training/implementation, forward observing for mortars/artillery/fixed wing/rotary wing support, CQB tactics, and guerilla warfare tactics.

Served a one-year cycle as Chief Assault Climber for the 31st MEU TRAP (Tactical Recovery of Aircraft Personnel) team.

Implemented a revamped system of leadership stylized for my platoon using several proven human resource theories.
