Research Projects [ Fully-funded by Singapore Sports Institute]:

Developed a wearable EEG-based massage headband for anxiety monitoring and its therapy in air-rifle shooters and gamers for performance enhancement.

Research duties:

●Victoriously managed and completed SG$1,50,000 budget project by Singapore Sports Institute.

●Highly experienced working with disposable medical products, physiological measurement devices, motors, RGB LEDS, switches, DC-DC converter, amplifiers, drivers, sensor integration (EEG, IMU, EMG), filters, diodes, Bluetooth, USB, RS-232, silicone rubber, microcontrollers (Arduino and Raspberry Pi), 3D printing, Li ion batteries, robotic actuators and FETs, BJTs, Vernier calipers, power supplies, pumps, cameras, DAQs, pressure gauge, electronic test and measurement systems- multimeters, oscilloscopes and microscopes.

Research project:

Designed a PCR-based optical detection system for detecting drug resistant bacterial and viral infections from biological samples under test on a novel microfluidic chip developed. (masters dissertation).

Research duties:

●Automated the optical device by developing an image processing algorithm using NI LabView and Vision Assistant for infection detection and diagnostics based on the principle of fluorescence.

●Designed an LED driver circuitry (Potentiostat design and simulation on P-Spice) on a PCB according to the device specifications.

●Performed hardware assembling and calibrated the CMOS image sensor.

●Mentored an undergraduate project student in hardware engineering and image processing.

●Successfully presented the results to a team of distinguished scientists as a part of thesis defense.
