Career Summary
From June 2006 to January 2017 as continuous casting engineer at EZZ steel company
Work as a production engineer in melt shop for five strands Danielle CCM.
Responsible for:
Decrease billets defects by 95% by setting the optimum machine conditions.
Increase tundish working hours by 10% by implementing the right operation parameters (Tundish slag analysis, synthetic slag additions quantities, optimum heat temperature, ).
Communication with different departments to guarantee long production sequence.
Guidance workers to make max effort to safe work in best case and safe machine parts
Good dealing with problem by follow up with mechanical and electrical people by describing machine problem to decrease delay time in problem
Evaluation of new trials of operations and spare parts
From January 2017 to now as continuous casting assistant manager at EZZ steel company
Responsibility:
Assist department manager in setting yearly objectives and translating them into tasks for supervisors and labours (e.g. increase machine availability by reducing its setup time by 30%, decrease production activities that lead to billet loss by 10%, etc.)
Follow up of execution of production plan and make corrective actions for any deviation
Monitor of labours performance quality and give training recommendations to HR management
Follow up monthly the department objectives and consumption and reporting them to department manager
Check of spare parts availability and performance quality (copper mould from different supplier, mould oil lubrication, etc.)
Work field achievements:
Preparation of a scientific research on the rhomboidity defect that appears in the billets after reducing the C% and Mn% in steel that made suggestions to avoid this defects.
Sharing the team work of the caster revamping to increase the casting speed from 3.3 m/min to 3.8 m/min
Developing excel sheet that can predict solidification behaviour of carbon steel within copper casting mould to develop optimum mould cooling flow and crack sensitivity of the steel grade.
Developing of excel sheet capable of developing secondary cooling parameters that reduces calculations time from hours to few minutes
Developing excel sheet that calculates heat flux from mould and secondary cooling sectors to determine the optimum cooling intensity and water flux distribution through cooling zones.
Solving the problem of defected billets arising from using low quality oil lubrication/high mould life by adjusting cooling parameters which enabled using high mould life with low quality oil.
Professional Development
