Kiosk Technology Upgrade

Project Description: Kohls using third party NetKey, commercial software package provided by NCR to monitor the Kiosks it has deployed to all of its stores. While NetKey has fulfilled its intended function for the past 2+ years, it has proven to be challenging from a software integration and supportability standpoint. Net Key also has functionality and scalability Constraints that limit features and enhancements such as being able to use a non-flash based key board, video based Attract loop, etc. Through kiosk tech upgrade project we are replacing Netkey with a custom developed monitoring console and the IE 7 browser with the Google Chrome browser. The operating system will also be upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. There by providing rich user experience, fast performance and Lower system complexity.

Project Description: BM Upgrade: Blue Martini Upgrade program which will happen in two phases. The first phase will be the technical Upgrade from the current version of Blue Martini 9.1 that is in place today to the next version 10.2.2. This will be a like for like upgrade meaning that there will be no new business functionality introduced as a result of this project. The Versions of Web logic and Java that the ecommerce platform is currently running on are unsupported so this work will address upgrading the back end servers and software as well.
P2HR is a Performance to High reliability. P2HR is ongoing project for every year where the Business improves their performance based on the Requirements. P2HR 2012 has an enhancement on the Rdesk and improved performance on the Batch. In RDesk the Requirements/Enhancements are given in form of Stories which be available in MINGLE. Nearly 15 stories have been given by the Business and these enhancements would help the users in easy
Access of RDesk and enabling a good useful functionality. Performance has been improved for Batch Jobs where they have been made to handle high volume of data during the Processing. P2HR (Path to High Reliability) focused for Holiday Season.
