Dec 2010 - Present: Chrysler: Studio/Development/Validation/Release Engineer/Project Manager (contract) Responsibilities: Engineering liaison for closures between vehicle stylists and production engineering. Maserati corrosion project leader. Developed Charger Hood and Fenders w/two direct reports. Managed validation plan of Charger/Challenger. Release engineer covering seven car lines and their derivatives across five assembly plants. Last Assignment: Warren Truck Assembly Quality Team Resident: Reduced warranty by 58% in 6 months. Dec 2008 - Nov 2010: Jeep SRT Program Manager and Full-time Graduate Student Responsibilities: Design team manager w/three direct reports for Jeep SRT program (Arrow Racing Engines short- term contract) while pursuing Master’s Degree (MSA/MBA) at Central Michigan University. Oversaw vehicle development of fascias, engine packaging, electrical/fuel line routing, driveline assembly, and chassis tuning. Feb 2003 - Nov 2008: EDAG Engineering: Design Leader/Manager Responsibilities: Design Manager with nine direct reports. Coordinated activities of design and engineering and acted as group liaison to OEM’s. Tracked all program issues for 150 components and presented weekly to upper management. Quoted and delivered several projects on time and budget, spanning and integrating 3 unique CAD systems.

Honed project timing estimates to near 100% precision while resolving a complex 6-year backlog of production changes, restoring positive customer relations. Oct 1990 - Nov 2000: Excel/Dura/Brose/DaimlerChrysler: Project Engineer/Project Manager Responsibilities: Concept to production simultaneous engineering of BIW door assemblies. Supervised, designed, and checked window mechanisms, glass assemblies, door modules, and sunroofs. Developed layout, detail, and assembly drawings with GD&T for Ford and GM. Handled customer and supplier contact, DFMEA’s, DVP&R’s, Timelines, and 8D’s. Engineering responsible for product’s assembly-line design and factory launch w/DFA/DFM.

Replaced failing FN-36 window system in a record 4-week period by packaging superior EN-53 design, which reduced scrap rates by over 60% and significantly improved customer feedback. (Excel)

Body hardware and door design for Chrysler. 3. Molds/fixture design of graphite composite parts for General Dynamics and Boeing.
