ENTRY-LEVEL BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER

Recent graduate of a top-tier university with experience in designing and improving electrical systems, and performing quality assurance reviews. Uses current technology, programming, and software to develop models and create testing methods. Seeking opportunities to leverage problem solving and technical skills in a collaborative environment. Developed skills in the following areas:

Circuits Design • E lectrical Systems • Python • MatLab • Statics • B iostatistics • Bioinstrumentation • Signals and Systems • Control System • Simulink • Data Analysis • Physiology EDUCATION

University of California, San Diego ( June 2018) • B achelor of Science in Bioengineering ( GPA 3.7/4.0) RELEVANT ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE

3D PRINTED IMAGING PHANTOM • UCSD Bioengineering Department ( September 2017- June 2018) Senior Design Project: R esponsible for creating a 3D model of the pulmonary vasculature used to calibrate MRI and CT imaging for better resolution and more accurate flow velocity measurement.

● Created a procedure for designing and printing an anatomically accurate 3D model of the pulmonary vasculature.

● Created an image processing program in M atLab to detect flow velocity. INTEGRATED ELECTRONICS AND BIOINTERFACES LABO RATORY• ( January - April 2018) Studies electronic and biointerface materials and devices from atomic and molecular scale processes to fully functional systems.

Research and Development Intern: Assisted the Principal Investigator in developing optimizing electrode arrays for neural stimulation and implantation designed for patients with neurological diseases.

● Quality assurance of electrode arrays for durability and sustained performance.

● Determined optimal electrode size for current injection capacity using M atLab and C OMSOL. BIODYNAMICS LABORATORY • ( September 2016 - June 2017) Focuses on the use of engineering methods in the theoretical design and experimental construction of synthetic gene regulatory networks.

Research Assistant: C ollaborated with a team to engineer a bacteria capable of delivering anti-cancer medication.

● Used P ython to s tatistically model colony growth curve oscillations of self lysing strain.

● Used microfluidic devices to measure colony growth of S. typhi strain.

● Created methods to transform bacteria for delivery of anti-tumor pathogen. PROJECTS

CIRCUITS DESIGN: Built a bio amplifier circuit that amplifies EMG signals from multiple muscle groups. Recorded and analyzed signal data using a regressive model to provide real time feedback to whether user was performing an exercise correctly.

CONTROL SYSTEM: Created a model of the blood pressure control feedback system using Simulink.
