In four years working for the State of Nevada, I've helped start the cannabis industry in the state through selection of the initial business license recipients and through helping create the policies that guided the industry's early days. I've helped to nearly quadruple the number of government-funded PreK slots available for underprivileged families in Nevada, helped select and implement the State's Kindergarden Entry Assessment, created data-based programs to chart student progress and classroom performance, and aligned the State's Early Childhood data gathering with the State's Longitudinal Data System. With the completion of the 2017-2018 school year, I've chosen to leave State service for the private sector again. I'm looking for a challenging new position that can leverage my decades of experience managing projects and directing business operations across a spectrum of industries.

Highlights

Enhanced change control at Digital Integrator by introducing project management and reporting procedures. Transitioned the business from a financial content provider to a provider of consumer video security products. Invented a patent-pending software design.

Evaluated and rated over 500 Medical Marijuana Establishment applications against extensive, specific regulatory requirements in process for the issuance of initial provisional licenses in the State of Nevada.

Led an operations-oriented team in mastering the technical skills required to build a new fault-tolerant, disaster-resistant datacenter, allowing Market News International to provide subscription-based financial news content post-9/11.

Implement and trained staff on an infrastructure management platform (CiscoWorks/HP OpenView) for a five-building campus.

Managed a 50-site multi-protocol WAN for Insurance Auto Auctions; defined and instituted protocols for network redundancy and disaster recovery. Responded to carrier outages and managed service restorals

Directed the implementation of a WAN for Tenneco Packaging (now Pactiv) and managed the relocation of company headquarters from Evanston, IL to Lincolnshire, IL. Later implemented a remote access system for the Information Technology Operations Center (ITOC) a resource of sister company Tenneco Automotive.

Conducted on-site inspections and evaluations at 25 remote plants for Quaker Oats to assess the suitability of installing an advanced supply chain system; prepared reports for Director/VP-level decision makers.

Troubleshot a 50-site network experiencing frequent outages, built a more intuitive technical network solution, and improved reaction and response times by implementing ‘smart’ equipment and feedback systems.
