As an agent for the awarded Romanian Company (S. C. APISORELIA S.R.L.) we are responsible for all the contracting and the procurement for these projects, including Manpower, equipment, subcontracting, etc.

The scope of Services covers the provision of waste management Services for Company’s (NK/WK) operational facilities including Gathering Centers, Booster Stations, Tank Farms, Water Treatment/ Injection plants and outside Office Buildings in Company’s operational areas, Gatch Pits, etc. The list of facilities, where the Services to be provided by the Contractor, shall be as specified in Technical Specification Part I – General hereto.

This shall cover the collection, transportation, segregation, treatment and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, which includes waste management associated with garbage, recyclable and non-recyclable wastes collected from the Company’s operational areas. All wastes shall be collected, transported, reduced, reused, recycled, recovered, treated and/or disposed in-situ or in the Solid Waste Treatment Plant in Shuaiba Industrial Area as per acceptable criteria. Waste Management shall be in accordance with all applicable statutory guidelines from the Public Authority of Industry and Kuwait Environment Public Authority (KEPA).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

No. of personnel managed: 132 persons between engineers, supervisors, technicians, operators, drivers, and labors including the subcontractors (Nationalities: KUWAITIS, EGYPTIANS, PAKISTANIS, INDIANS and BANGLADESHIS)

Takes care of all high level decision making regarding interactions with KOC, KEPA, the public, etc.

Has final decision from Tetra Tech on all technical issues regarding collection and handling of all waste, hazardous and non-hazardous.

Interacts with our sponsor and subcontractor concerning personnel issues, vehicles and maintenance, etc.

Handles higher level personnel issues including leaves and vacations, discipline, etc.

Has final signature authority for all correspondence to KOC from in-country.

The CME is the most direct and highest level in-country link when interacting with KOC.

The CME also talks with management personnel in the U.S. about all issues and will defer to their direction when there is something the CME cannot handle. The U.S. Personnel will support the CME in this manner.

The CME will also review daily attendance sheets from each site and provide input and final QC on KOC and subcontractor invoices.

PROJECT TITLE: Ministry of health incinerator for medical waste - Shuaiba 1

PROJECT OBJECTIVE(S):

The disposal of the medical waste generated from all the facilities managed by the Ministry of Health (Hospitals, clinics, medicine factories and suppliers, etc.) by incineration process, and comply with the KEPA regulations by monitoring the Hazardous waste generated from the incineration process(such as Fly Ash and gaseous emissions)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

No. of personnel managed: 120 persons between engineers, technicians, operators, drivers, and labors (Nationalities: EGYPTIANS, SYRIANS, PHLIPIAIANS, INDIANS and BANGLADESHI)

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

Incineration process

Generate 2 manifests one for the waste incinerated to be presented to MOH, and another one for the Ash produced from the incineration process to use it for the disposal of the Ash into hazardous waste landfill facility.

All the incinerator activities are monitored and reported to MOH site representatives on daily basis.

The entire previous document should be presented to MOH to on monthly basis.

Construction of a landfill with international specifications used for the disposal of the oily contaminated soil generated during the Iraqi invasion to Kuwait. The construction includes the different layers of isolation to dispose the contaminated soil and prevent the contamination leak to the environment, also includes underground water monitoring system. evaluating design options and construction materials for projects, including the technical design and specification of protection, containment, collection and removal systems, such systems as LEACHATE SYSTEMS, WELL MONITORING AND SAMPLING SYSTEMS, SUMP MECHANICAL COMPONENTS(PUMPS, GENERATORS, ETC.) AND GAS VENT SYSTEMS

conducting risk assessments, often using specialist technical computer packages;

preparing contract documentation; working closely with clients and liaising with contractors, both on and off-site; carrying out construction quality assurance (CQA) processes to confirm that construction work is being carried out to the accepted design; undertaking contaminated land investigations; keeping abreast of appropriate legislation and guidelines governing working practices.
