PROJECTS/EXPERIENCE

Upper Limb At-Home Rehabilitation System - Texas Biomedical Device Center 2017-2018

• Created a system capable of learning complex rehabilitative body movements, recognizing and determining the accuracy of replication within a pre-set margin of error.

• Used a set of wearable, bluetooth-enabled, IMU devices to capture and send movement data and wrote an algorithm within an Android application to analyze and learn movements.

• Coordinated to meet and exceed the design specifications given to us by the corporate sponsor, Dr. Robert Rennecker. Used 3-D modeling to document designs and FMEA to identify failure modes.

• Allows stroke patients to perform at-home, upper-limb rehabilitation when used in conjunction with a Vagus Nerve Stimulator. This project won the UT Dallas Senior Design Challenge. Surgical Helmet - Junior Design Expo 2017

• Created a surgical helmet that was capable of detecting, indicating, and lowering CO2 levels in orthopedic surgical suit.

• System was composed of several electrical components including a TI microcontroller, IR CO2 sensor, LED bar, and a piezoelectric speaker. This project was one of the top projects in the Junior Design Expo. Physical Therapist Volunteer - Comprehensive Orthopedics & Rehabilitation 2016 - 2018 Assisted the Physical Therapist with daily patient therapy treatment utilizing skills, which have been certified or trained by the Physical Therapist, and used Physical Therapy equipment under the supervision of the P.T. Shift Leader - Dairy Queen 2011 - 2014
