Supervisor(Back Up): In charge of supervising employees to maintain high standards of packing production.
Managed employees in various departments such as Quality Control, Carton department and Warehouse department.
In charge of all manning quota necessary to run the crew such as filling in positions for absentee employees.
Upkeep:
Maintain the process of removing heat from a gob of glass at a controlled rate during press and blow process in order to make a quality container.
Understands that glass must be controlled through forehead by the TGE process and try to maintain a set MFT to control the overall process of being able to make a quality container.
Utilizes cycle time and valve block speed to control operation of desired and quality container.
Knowledge of batch, furnace, forehearth control as it relates to gob formation.
Control triple gob and double gob alignment with shear adjustments, trough and defector alignment.
Knowledge of thermal and mechanical defects and the ability to make the necessary adjustments to correct related defects.
Maintain proper air pressure standards set for IS machine in order to illuminate accelerated ware and tare of machine mechanisms.
Maintain proper blank temperature standards in order to make a quality container.
Control the process of heat removal process from a gob of glass such as passion formation, container formation, and container cooling in order to make a quality container
Utilizes weight control process to maintain proper weight of a quality container.
Knowledge of electronic valve block and mechanism control.
Communicate well with operator in order to maintain proper machine operation.
Communicate well with supervisors and tank managers to obtain a quality container.
Utilize problem solving skills such as analysis, defining the problem, monitoring and implementing solution.
