Managed National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) Geodesy and Geophysics portfolio

Coordinated with budget office to execute current year and plan out-year funding

oChampioned agency’s unfunded initiative to upgrade GPS tracking station receivers to Joint Staff compliant Selective Availability and Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) receivers and received full funding and awarding contract in the current fiscal year. These receivers made NIMA’s worldwide network of GPS stations secure from adversary signal jamming and manipulation.

Coordinated with geographically and organizationally dispersed NIMA representatives, as well as representatives from Navy, Air Force, and Intelligence Community concerning the acquisition and use of GPS data for creation of military targeting and intelligence products.

Responded to inquiries from Senate and House Intelligence Committees on NIMA SAASM project.
