April 2010 to August 2017

I was a Senior COBOL programmer at DST Worldwide Services (Thailand). I've participated in several parts of work in this company such as Financial Services, SubAccounting and Retirement Solutions. Here are my job description, shortly.

Communicate with Product Owner and Solutions Lead in the US to clarify/understand business requirements

Identify number of existing programs, new programs, JCLs, PROCs, Copybooks, tables, files, applications those will be impacted.

Estimate effort to be used for each program starting from program tech spec, coding, unit testing, installation, system testing, client testing and production monitoring.

Present solutions/designs to Project Manager, Product Owner and Solutions Lead in the US (via conference call).

Design, develop new programs, modify existing programs, and prepare functional specifications documents.

Assign development tasks to all developers in the team.

Review code and unit test result document for team members, make sure the change meet DST standard and the result covers all business requirement.

Analyze program performance during execution using various tools and techniques provided by DST

Execute Unit Test and provide test result document.

Submit request to install project to upper platform and provide all required document.

Work closely with QA to review test scripts and test result for every single test platform.

Work closely with BA (Business Analyst) to identify scope of project and impacts. Support BA to write BDD document.

Execute System Test and provide test result on behalf of QA for some complicate testing such as batch submission.

Analyze and fix issue in both in test environment and production environment.

Provide Technical training classes for junior developers.
