Work Experience

1)Working as Senior Project Instrumentation Engineer (Carbon Black Plant) at Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (At: Bhuj) since 18th April 2018. (Total Experience: 5+ years)

Erection Supervision for field instrumentation items and control system; pre-commissioning & Commissioning of field instruments and control system.

Review of cable tray layout & JB location as per layout, I/O list, wiring diagram, loop diagrams Instrument Index sheet and Data sheet, P&ID.

Vendor co-ordination and critical vendor documents review.

Instrument calibration Lab (Temperature calibrator, Universal calibrator, Pressure calibrator etc..)

A) Field Work

Responsibility: Section In charge (Crusher,Stacker, Reclaimer, Vertical Raw mill, Baghouse)

Configuring and faults diagnosis of PLC, SCADA, Analyzers and Control Loops.

PLC : ABB AC500 (PM595), Allen Bradley– SLC 5/04 (1747-L543) & Opto-22 (SNAP LCM4)

SCADA : Intouch wonderware (2012 R2 & 2014 R2), ECS, and IFIX/GE

PLC Programming: Ladder Diagram (RS Logix 5 pro, RS Logix 500 & RS Logix 5000)

Function Block diagram (ABB CoDeSys 2.3)

Projects:

1)Involved in main plant PLC control system upgradation from Opto-22 to ABB PM595.

2)Install a wireless Radio system (Surecross Performance DX80 Wireless I/O Networks) for Stacker.

3)Erection & commissioning of Schenck Process Weighbelt Feeder (10 TPH- 2 No’s)

4)Install a new DC drive(Lntor) for Reclaimer. (DC shut motor)

To make maximum availability of instruments for plant operation.

Responsible for preventive maintenance & break down maintenance of field instruments

Review PLC logic, inter locks and changes as per requirement. Easily understand and identify the PLC I/O cable list of instruments in PLC panel.

Perform loop checking. Acknowledge all problem reports by the operation group.

Knowledge of HART 475 field communicator & BT200 Brain terminal

Possess Knowledge of AC drives (ABB, Allen Bradley) & DC drives (LnTor).

Maintenance and calibration for weighbridges, weigh-feeder (Schenck Process), Loss In Weight (LIW), Solid Flow Meter (SFM) & Dust Monitor (FMCODEL DCEM2100).

B) Material management & Manpower

Material management & Raise requirements (PR) for needed materials and follow up with respective agencies. Assist with inspection of incoming spares and materials.

Ensure fair distribution of work to technicians and team & technical guidance to team.

C) Safety, Housekeeping and Environment Care

SAFETY TRAINING: Work permit system, Work at height, Confined space, Hot Work Permit, on-site emergency planning, basic first Aid, Health and fire.

Use prescribed PPE’s to maintain personal safety & maintain plant safety. Daily toolbox talks with all workers. Report near miss accidents / unsafe conditions.

Ensure and oversee cleaning of work area and disposal of scrap and debris post maintenance.

D) Statutory abilities

Prepare and maintain shutdown and breakdown reports.

Prepare root cause analysis & action plan of every break down.

Generate, maintain and update ISO & IMS records of all relevant documents.

3)Working As GET at Hi-Bond Cement (I) Pvt. Ltd. (At: Patidad, Rajkot) Since 8th Aug. 2013 to 15th Aug. 2014. (Experience: 1 Year)

Erection and Commissioning of Cement Mill (Ball Mill – 90 TPH).

Knowledge of Allen Bradley Control Logix 5564 controller 1756-L64 (PLC) and ECS (SCADA).

Calibration and Maintenance of Oxymat 61 and Ultramat 23 analyser.

Knowledge of various field instrumentation devices.

Calibration of Belt Weigher, Weigh Feeder, Solid Flow Meter (SFM), Loss in Weight Feeder (LIW) and Dust Monitor.

Using SCADA monitoring and control of a Packing unit (Roto packer VT-CORP).
