I completed the Power to Arrest Training at the Universal Security Academy and was issued the Security Guard Registration Card (BPC Sections 7583.6 and 7583.8) on January 27, 2016. I am currently employed at Oa Logistics as a Security Guard at 2222 E Beamer Street, Woodland, CA 95776. Previously, I was employed by Universal Protection Service Security Guard Service Company at 1816 Tribute Road, Suite 150, Sacramento, CA 95815.
As the primary point of contact at Oa Logistics, I authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. I patrol premises to prevent theft, detect signs of intrusion, and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. Work to improve safety performance by conducting periodic inspections and surveillances; report to management when corrective action is needed regarding a safety deficiency. Meet with management to implement safe management systems, policy and procedure, and safety compliance by employees.
My initial post assignment was at the FedEX Ground Facility at 8200 Elder Creek Road, Sacramento, CA 95824, as a Security Guard. I was promoted to Team Lead at FedEX on August 1st, 2016. I demonstrated my ability to establish strong working relationships with my colleagues and the security guards on my team as Team Lead. I am seeking a position that will allow me to continue to develop my career and my potential in the Security Guard Industry.
My background includes time served in the United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance. I have a significant amount of experience in the Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving industry. I have performed responsible technical work in information processing and reporting with an emphasis on emergency response and safety.
I am primarily interested in a position requiring strong organizational skills. I am detail oriented and enjoy a job well done. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss in more detail how my professional skills and abilities may be a good match with your needs. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
