Projects
Heat Exchanger
Using ANSYS Fluent to simulate the fluid flow of a double pipe counter flow heat exchanger and exit temperatures of two different entering fluids. Also, verifying simulation results with analytical results.
Senior Design Project: Low Speed Crash Test Sled
Designing a rear end impact sled system for data collection. Organizing a statement of work, work breakdown schedule, program schedule (Gantt chart), deliverables, and program budget. Creating a conceptual design; system requirements review, and conceptual design review. Failure mode and effects analysis, design budgets (power, weight, size), risk analysis, and performance projections.
Heat Sink Design
Designing two custom heat sinks in solid works of a PCB of a smart phone to increase the heat transfer rate through the fins, by taking into consideration; weight, cost, and size. Also, to keep the maximum lifespan of the electronic components and keeping the PCB problematic region within optimal temperatures.
Sprinkler System
Using NFPA 13 (National Fire Protection Agency) standard an industry benchmark to design and calculate a sprinkler system for a residential home using AutoCAD and MATLAB.
